Chum Kiu

the seeking bridge form

Wing Chun’s second form and a fundamental part of the Wing Chun system, this form is the fighting form, it includes techniques for bridging the attacker, but also includes tools to destroy the bridge.

As Siu-Nim-Tao is the alphabet, you can think of this form as the dictionary. using a combination of letters to create words and therefore enable communication. Chum-Kiu also introduces closer range tools, such as elbows and knees.
